Description:
The Environmental Technology Verification report discusses the technology and performance of the High Efficiency Mini Pleat air filter for dust and bioaerosol filtration manufactured by Columbus Industries. The pressure drop across the filter was 142 Pa clean and 283 Pa dust loaded. The filtration efficiency when the filter was clean was 54% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 58% for Serratia marcescens, and 57% for bacteriophage MS2. The filtration efficiency when the filter was dust loaded was 74% for Bacillus atrophaeus, 83% for Serratia marcescens, and 79% for bacteriophage MS2. The ASHRAE 52.2 dust filtration efficiency was 15% for particles between 0.3 and 1.0 micrometers, 65% for particles between 1.0 and 3.0 micrometers, and 81% for particles between 3.0 and 10 micrometers. The minimum efficiency reporting value was 8 at 0.93 cubic meters per sec.
