Description:

The Mine Waste Technology Program is a Congressionally-mandated research program jointly administered by the EPA Office of Research and Development (for technical direction) and by the DoE Western Environmental Technology Office (administrative direction). The goal of the research is to demonstrate and evaluate innovative technologies for reducing the pollution from abandoned ore mining situations.
