Hudgens, E. E., D M. Schreinemachers, R L. Calderon, AND D J. Thomas. COMPARISON OF TWO ARSENIC EXPOSURE ASSESSMENT PROTOCOLS IN A CHRONICALLY EXPOSED POPULATION. Presented at Arsenic in New England, Manchester, New Hampshire, May 29-31, 2002.

Description:

Consistent with the US EPA 1997 Arsenic Research Plan's emphasis on studies in US populations to obtain data to support a revised Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for arsenic, two studies were conducted in Millard County, Utah; the first in 1997 and a second in 1999. This location was chosen because the arsenic levels measured in drinking water supplies ranged from 2ug/1 to 650 ug/1. A total of 96 nonsmoking, nondrinking individuals from 28 families particpated in the 1997 study.
