Citation:

Grosse*, D W. INDOOR AIR VAPOR INTRUSION SEMINAR INTRODUCTION. Presented at Indoor Air Vapor Intrusion Seminar, Atlanta, GA, 2/25-26/2003.

Description:

This seminar is sponsored by the ORD in collaboration with the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response. The goal of this seminar is to present information and guidance to evaluate, assess and characterize chemical vapor pathways migrating into structures resulting from contaminated groundwater and soils. We will also examine abatement, mitigation, and cleanup methods for reducing human health risks at impacted residences, facilities and other contaminated sites. The purpose of this seminar is to 1) better understand the science involved in evaluating the site-specific conditions at indoor air vapor intrusion sites and 2) how to use the EPA draft guidance in helping decision-makers make sound judgements that are protective of human health and the environment.
