NORTHWEST ENVIRONMENTAL DATABASE (NED) FOR WA, OR, AND ID
Description:
This database results from a massive data gathering program initiated by BPA/NPPC in the mid-1980s. Each state now manages the portion of the database within its borders. Data & evaluations were gathered by wildlife/game/fish biologists, and other state, federal, and tribal resource professionals. The ID & OR data are also accessible via DBASE menu-driven utilities. We feel that, in many cases, this method may be more useful, particularly for small area studies, as more information may be seen at once. Descriptive notations & species lists are also available in this format. The user is able to walk up & down streams & tributaries thru use of the menus. Scale: 1:100,000 (WA), 1:250,000 (OR), 1:250,000 (ID). Extent: ID, OR, WA. Major Attributes: Anad. fish: presence/absence flags (per species), passage blockages, production facilities, etc.; resident fish: species of concern/critical spawning flags, summary reach, quality ratings; wildlife; recreation; FERC Protected Status; FERC project data; natural features.
