Description:
The purpose of the study is to identify and define future environmental concerns related to the projected utilization, recycling, and combustion of composite materials. The study is being conducted for the Office of Strategic Assessment and Special Studies (OSASS) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Based on results of the study, EPA will make a preliminary determination of whether further study is warranted for any of the potential environmental concerns that the study identified as being associated with composite materials use and disposal and assign research priorities in this area.
