The Simplified Indoor Air Chemistry Simulator (SIACS)
Citation:
Ilacqua, V. The Simplified Indoor Air Chemistry Simulator (SIACS). State Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Workshop, Washington, DC, October 08, 2020.
Impact/Purpose:
This is a presentation on the Simplified Indoor Air Chemistry Simulator (SIACS) model for the State Meeting on Indoor Air Quality workshop that is being organized by the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) and EPA/OAR/ORIA/IED.
Description:
Simplified Indoor Air Chemistry Simulator (SIACS) is being developed by OAR/ORIA/IED/CSA with technical support by ORD. Understanding the chemistry occurring indoors and what factors influence indoor pollution is critical from a public health perspective, considering that people spend 87% of their time indoors. SIACS is being developed as a screening tool for evaluating what chemical reactions and factors potentially have significant impacts on indoor pollution.
