Impact/Purpose:
This presentation provides high level information on how satellites detect cyanobacteria, the validation of the CIcyano algorithm, overview of software from the Cyanobacteria Assessment Network project, annual metrics to quantify cyanobacteria, and case studies. A glimpse at potential future work includes the incorporation of the Sentinel-2 satellite at higher spatial resolution and forecasting capabilities.
