Description:

A study was conducted to evaluate the potential for asbestos fiber reentrainment during cleaning of carpet contaminated with asbestos. wo types of carpet cleaning equipment were evaluated at two carpet contamination levels. irborne asbestos concentrations were determined before and during carpet cleaning. verall, airborne asbestos concentrations were two to four times greater during the carpet cleaning activity. he level of asbestos contamination and the type of cleaning method used had no statistically significant effect on the relative increase of airborne asbestos concentrations during carpet cleaning.
