Impact/Purpose:
Presentation to the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) Industrial Toxicology Lecture Series February 2023. This is a lecture that will be presented to graduate students as part of a industry toxicology seminar series. The talk is geared to describe my career, EPA research, and a couple of laboratory studies. This will familiarize the students with life as an investigator at EPA

The talk includes three parts: 1) Description of scientific training, leading to the EPA; 2) Overview of the structure and mission of the Office of Research and Development at the EPA and the Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure (CCTE); 3) three studies my laboratory leads, focused on development of microRNAs as biomarkers for toxicology.
