Citation:
Pye, H. The Community Regional Atmospheric Chemistry Multiphase Mechanism (CRACMM) (AAPCA Presentation). Association of Air Pollution Control Agencies (AAPCA) Modeling Committee Call, Durham, NC, April 11, 2023.
Impact/Purpose:
This presentation will be delivered to state and local air quality management districts in the Association of Air Pollution Control Agencies (AAPCA, https://cleanairact.org/) Modeling Committee Call on April 11 to inform them about a new chemical mechanism in CMAQ. The new mechanism, CRACMM, predicts ozone and other secondary air pollutants and version 1 is available in the current CMAQ model. Over the next few years, version 2 will be developed and become ORD's default in CMAQ in 2026.
Description:
The Community Regional Atmospheric Chemistry Multiphase Mechanism (CRACMM) is a new mechanism available in CMAQv5.4. This presentation discusses the plan for CRACMM-CMAQ development through 2026 and how to find information on the mechanism.
