Citation:

Rice, B., K. Boaggio, K. Foley, N. Olson, AND S. LeDuc. Hazardous Air Pollutants in Wildfire Smoke across the Western U.S., 2006-2020. 21st Annual CMAS (Community Modeling and Analysis System) Conference, Chapel Hill, NC, October 17 - 19, 2022.

Impact/Purpose:

Wildfire smoke is a growing public health concern. We characterize Hazardous Air Pollutants measured in the U.S. EPA Air Quality System monitoring network to improve our understanding of the risk wildfire smoke poses to public health. Our findings may inform future research on the health impacts of wildfire smoke.
