Impact/Purpose:

This presentation will help homeowners learn about how EPA's National Stormwater Calculator can help them manage runoff. We will review the EPA's National Stormwater Calculator (SWC) and how it may assist in achieving LEED BD+C V4 Homes and New Construction SS Rain Water Management. Then we will summarize the of computational methods used by the SWC and how it assists in achieving LEED BD+C V4 Homes and New Construction SS Rain Water Management. Next, we will go over how to run the calculator to quantify storm water reductions and achieving LEED BD+C V4 Homes and New Construction SS Rain Water Management. Lastly,  we will begin Interpreting the calculator results and applying Low Impact Development (LID) controls.

Description:

This is a presentation on how homeowners or developers can use EPA's National Stormwater Calculator for LEED v4 documentation for credits and also to help design their green infrastructure low-impact development controls.
