Marine and Estuarine Datasets Near Tribal Waters of the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw
Citation:
Brown, Cheryl A. AND R. Labiosa. Marine and Estuarine Datasets Near Tribal Waters of the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, DC, 2022.
Impact/Purpose:
The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians (CTCLUSI) is interested in developing nutrient criteria thresholds for marine tribal waters in Coos, Umpqua, and Siuslaw estuaries. R10 requested ORD assistance in assembling estuarine and marine datasets that might be useful for developing reference conditions for marine tribal waters. This data summary describes the datasets assembled, demonstrates the role of ocean conditions in influencing water quality conditions in the vicinity of tribal waters, and provides key percentiles of the dataset that may be useful informing threshold development.
