Description:

Background: Antony Williams (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antony_John_Williams) is a cheminformatician at the US-EPA’s center for computational toxicology and exposure and is focused on the development of web-based applications for the delivery of chemicals related data to the community. He is an analytical scientist by training (specializing in NMR), and is one of the founders of the ChemSpider website hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry, with over 100,000 users per day. He is widely published with over 300 publications (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=O2L8nh4AAAAJ), book chapters and books (https://www.amazon.com/Antony-J.-Williams/e/B004YRPRV2).     Brief Description: EPA’s Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure has developed workflows for curating large chemical substance databases and providing accurate linkages of data to chemical structures, exposure and hazard information.  The data are made available via the EPA’s CompTox Chemicals Dashboard (https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard), a publicly accessible website providing access to data for ~900,000 chemical substances, the majority of these represented as chemical structures. The application provides access to segregated lists of chemicals that are of specific interest to relevant stakeholders including Per- & Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). This presentation will provide an overview of the dashboard and  the developing library of PFAS chemicals.
