Impact/Purpose:

The purpose of this product is to fulfill the requirements of ACE Product 7.3.6.   EPA completed laboratory and field evaluations of commercially available sensors (Cairpol; Aeroqual) for O3, CO, CO2, NO2, H2S, NH3, VOC, and THC.  Their performance compared to FRM/FEM research grade reference instruments during chamber studies and wildland fire smoke impacted events are presented and discussed. This product will assist with understanding and choosing air quality sensors for use in wildland fire response.
