Impact/Purpose:
This is a requested presentation from the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment for a symposium to educate architectural students on the tools and methods developed in EPA ORD for life cycle inventory modeling.
Description:
This presentation summarizes research from CSS StRAP II on rapid life cycle inventory modeling. It first examines the development of data mining workflows for incorporating EPA data into inventories. It then covers efforts to use process design and simulation to fill inventory data gaps. Finally, it highlights efforts to automate the data mining process and reduce the time and resources required to incorporate EPA data into life cycle inventories.
