Impact/Purpose:
By invitation, Dr. Zambrana will be presenting with John Katz of Region 9 to a Sustainable Product Design class at UC-Riverside. The students are senior undergrad students and grad students in STEM. The presentation will provide these students a greater understanding of EPA programs and research related to sustainable design.
Description:
This presentation highlight EPA’s work that impacts sustainable design. In a separate presentation, John Katz, Pollution Prevention Coordinator with EPA Region 9 in San Francisco, will provide a brief overview of EPA and the laws and regulations related to products, and review EPA current policies and programs that promote sustainable products and design. In this presentation, Jose Zambrana, Senior Science Advisor in EPA’s Office of Research and Development, will provide an overview of EPA's Office of Research and Development, and discuss sustainable development R&D programs like P3, and tools such as Life Cycle Analysis.
