Impact/Purpose:

This presentations details the development and public release of the Integrated Source Apportionment Method (ISAM) within the CMAQ model. Source apportionment is has a various applications and is important in emissions control scenario development. This version of ISAM has been reformulated for better accuracy and substantially more computationally efficient calculations.

Description:

Source apportionment assessments are often used to guide development and assessment of emission control programs and policies. The Integrated Source Apportionment Method (ISAM) has been implemented in CMAQ to estimate contributions of ambient concentration levels and deposition amounts from emissions from source groups and/or regions.
