Impact/Purpose:

Provide an update on the EPA-ORD perspective and activities related to monitoring wastewater for the virus that causes COVID-19.

Description:

In recent weeks, EPA-ORD has been both assessing analytical methods and developing a sampling framework for monitoring SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19, in wastewater. The talk outlines our current activities future plans, focusing on better understanding the method performance within the real world sewer network. Collaborations with utilities and public health agencies at the local and state level are emphasized.
