These slides provide information on the following topics: (1) Removal of cyanobacterial cells through conventional drinking water treatment (coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration), (2) Removal of cyanobacterial toxins by powdered activated carbon (PAC), (3) Removal of cyanobacterial toxins by drinking water treatment oxidants, (4) The impact of copper sulfate algicide on cyanobacteria and the response of exposed cyanobacteria when exposed to potassium permanganate, (5) The correlation between ELISA and liquid chromatographic methods for quantifying microcystins, (6) The correlation between the concentration of membrane compromised cyanobacteria and the ratio of extracellular/total microcystins
