MicroSAP: Tool for Developing Microbiological Sampling and Analysis Plans

Citation:

Silvestri, E., K. Hall, AND T. Haxton. MicroSAP: Tool for Developing Microbiological Sampling and Analysis Plans. Presented at US EPA Decontamination R&D Conference, RTP, NC, May 08 - 10, 2018.

Impact/Purpose:

EPA’s Homeland Security Research Program is collaborating both across the agency (with several regions and offices) and outside the agency to develop an online tool, the MicroSAP, which aims to assist users with development of Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs). The tool would be applicable for developing SAPs needed for site characterization, verification sampling, and post decontamination sampling stages of a biological contamination incident in which the U.S. EPA would be responsible for conducting sampling and analysis. The MicroSAP Tool also captures the associated data quality objectives and summarizes them in the SAP. The tool is intended for use by environmental unit leaders.
