Impact/Purpose:

GCSOLAR program is a set of routines that computes direct photolysis rates and half-lives of pollutants in the aquatic environment. The halflives are calculated as a function of season, latitude, time-of-day, depth in water bodies, and ozone layer thickness

Description:

The GCSolar.NET program will allow the user to view, manipulate, or run the GCSolar.NET modeling simulation for photolysis of contaminants in water. This guide focuses on chemical contaminants, but the same steps can be used to compute values for biological contaminants.
