Description:

Health Impact Assessments (HIA) are cooperative research projects where stakeholders and decision makers are actively involved in the process. The Mid-Continent Ecology Division conducted an HIA on a habitat restoration project in the St. Louis River. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) is now implementing the habitat construction and will be holding a public meeting. These slides are for the MNDNR to explain how the HIA was part of their effort to engage the community and other stakeholders.
