This presentation on allergic hypersensitivity is part of a Advanced Toxicology course that is central to the UNC Chapel Hill toxicology curriculum. Students will receive essential training on 1) fundamentals of the immune system, 2) allergic hypersensitivity and 3) immunotoxicity risk assessment.

Description:

Allergic hypersensitivity represents a significant public health problem. Consequently, it is imperative that toxicologists possess a fundamental understanding of hypersensitivity responses. This lecture will provide graduate students studying toxicology at UNC Chapel Hill with an overview of 1) the immune system, 2) allergic hypersensitivity and 3) immunotoxicity risk assessment.
