Williams, A. Profile Building, Research Sharing and Data Proliferation using Social Media Tools for Scientists (NLTO). Presented at Networking and Leadership Training Organization Meeting, RTP, NC, April 26, 2019. https://doi.org/10.23645/epacomptox.8126672

Impact/Purpose:

Presentation to Networking and Leadership Training Organization Meeting April 2019

Description:

Who markets your work? If not you, then who? The presenter hopes to encourage people in the “era of participation”, provide an overview of some tools available, share some stories, statistics and strategies, and encourage researchers to “share for the sake of community/science as well as for yourself". Sharing your works online can get 1000's of views. A research paper is itself the end product of an extraordinary investment of time and energy, taking thousands of hours of research, data analysis, writing and peer review. Shouldn't you put at least 10 to 20 hours of work into making sure that you can get the message out to relevant people?
