The Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) Modeling System: Development History & Recent Enhancements
Citation:
Mathur, R. The Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) Modeling System: Development History & Recent Enhancements. Symposium on AQ model develpment & applications, Tokyo, JAPAN, February 18, 2019.
Impact/Purpose:
CMAQ is a comprehensive atmospheric modeling system. This invited presentation overviews the development history and recent enhancements to the modeling system in context of its use for the following emerging air pollution issues: (1)Examination of U.S. air pollution in context of changing global emissions; (2)Local non-attainment; and (3) Quantifying natural contributions vs anthropogenic enhancements especially with lower threshold standards.
