Pope, D., M. Brooks, L. Burkhard, B. Schumacher, D. Timberlake, AND D. Jewett. Sustainable and Healthy Communities (SHC) Project 3.61 - Contaminated Sites Output 3.61.3 - Progress and Future Directions. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, DC, EPA/600/S-16/291, 2016.
Impact/Purpose:
ORD constructs RAPs to design research for each of the SHC program goals. SHC Project 3.61–Contaminated Sites, one of the SHC RAP projects, is scheduled to produce several outputs over the years 2016-2019. To carry out and fulfill goals under the RAPs, SHC designed and designated specific tasks to provide guidance and a support structure for individual research efforts. SHC Project 3.61 - Output 3.61.3 (this document) provides a concise discussion, with examples, of SHC research and other efforts such as technical support carried out under: Task 2: Contaminated Groundwater Research, Task 3: Contaminated Sediments Research, and Task 4: Vapor Intrusion Research. This Research Summary also includes a discussion and synopsis of proposed future research work for these three tasks.
