Pathway-based approaches to the extrapolation of mammalian toxicological data to non-mammalian species

Citation:

Ankley, G. Pathway-based approaches to the extrapolation of mammalian toxicological data to non-mammalian species. BEST of National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Washington, DC, N/A, December 04 - 05, 2018.

Impact/Purpose:

A major uncertainty in human health and ecological assessments of the effects of chemicals involves extrapolation of data from tested to untested species. This presentation will describe pathway-based approaches that can help reduce this uncertainty

Description:

Dr. Gerald Ankley has been invited to present this talk at the Winter meeting of the Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology (BEST) of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on December 4-5, 2018 in Washington, DC. The purpose of this meeting is to identify high-priority focus areas for future BEST efforts, one of which involves cross-species extrapolation of the toxicity of chemicals.
