Impact/Purpose:

To provide information to local governments and the UGA River Basin Center about common sources of fecal contamination and locate hot spots within local urban streams.

Description:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Micro Citizen Science Initiative (CSI) was developed with the purpose of engaging citizen scientists in the collection of water samples in urban streams to assess the impact of fecal bacteria on stream water quality.
