Description:
This follow up to a 2016 international workshop continues to bring together international regulators to discuss progress and barriers in applying new approach methods (NAMs) to prioritization, screening, and quantitative risk assessment. Updates to ongoing collaborative case studies will be given with the focus on risk evaluation, chemical categorization, and exposure evaluation. Next steps are exploring and addressing gaps in the understanding and acceptance of NAMs, completion/development of new case studies, and incorporating relevant case study activities into OECD working groups for broader international engagement while advocating for data and knowledge sharing.
