Impact/Purpose:

For the past 25+ years, the Office of Research and Development (ORD) has been developing a Life Cycle research program to advance the scientific basis and application of holistic approaches. This team has developed methodologies, tools, data, case studies, and training to assist industry, academia, state, regional and federal agencies. This presentation will provide a broad overview of the research, tools, and collaborations and focus specifically on the status of the Tool for the Reduction and Assessment of Chemical and other environmental Impacts (TRACI), the characterization of exposures from near-field sources such as building materials and consumer products, and the life cycle perspective provided to support environmental decisions within the Agency and externally.
