Impact/Purpose:

This presentation was prepared on the basis of and invitation from colleagues at UMD College Park. The purpose of the presentation is two-fold: 1) Use field data to connect concepts stormwater-wastewater management, hydrologic implications of urban land management and demolition, urban soils, field methods to gather appropriate data; and to define passive green infrastructure techniques; 2) provide some career insights to undergraduate and graduate members of the audience.

Description:

The purpose of the presentation is two-fold: 1) Use field data to connect concepts in stormwater-wastewater management, hydrologic implications of urban land management and demolition, urban soils, field methods to gather appropriate data; and to define passive green infrastructure techniques. The City of Detroit MI is used as a case-study to pull together these concepts; and 2) provide some career insights to undergraduate and graduate members of the audience.
