Impact/Purpose:

This presentation at the National Environmental Health Association aims to highlight the role of NCER research funding activities, including Tribal research projects, in supporting environmental health capacity building. I will also identify various efforts that grantees have applied to engage various project stakeholders in these efforts.

Description:

NCER’s environmental health research funding to academic institutions and non-profit entities have supported EPA’s mission to protect human health and the environment, while also supporting capacity-building in communities in understanding and mitigating environmental exposures to contaminants and pollution. This presentation will discuss how diverse group of award recipients have incorporated and supported capacity building in their funded research projects.
