Impact/Purpose:
The abstract describes recent work using the mouse assay system to evaluate the effects of soil remediation on the bioavailability of lead present in soil. Evaluation of the efficacy of different remediation strategies has not commonly been preformed, given the high cost of assays in juvenile swine. However, development and validation of the mouse assay system provides an economical alternative for evaluation of soil treatment strategis.
Description:
This is an abstract of a poster presentation for the 2018 meeting of the Society of Toxicology.
