Impact/Purpose:
Provide a training on chemical risk assessment to Regional ORD Community of Science Networking Program (ROCS-Net) participants who come from EPA regional offices and state government.
Description:
This course is aimed at providing an overview of the fundamental guiding principles and general methods used in chemical risk assessment. Chemical risk assessment is a complex and ever-evolving process. These principles and methods have been organized by the National Research Council in the Risk Assessment Paradigm as four components: Hazard Identification & Characterization, Dose-Response Assessment, Exposure Assessment and Risk Characterization. This course will feature presentations and discussions around each of these activities.
