Impact/Purpose:
Poster describing CPDat and integration of nanomaterials database for presentation at nanomaterials spring meeting
Description:
- The timely characterization of the human and ecological risk posed by thousands of existing and emerging commercial chemicals is a critical challenge - High throughput (HT) risk prioritization relies on hazard and exposure characterization - While advances have been made in HT toxicity screening, exposure methods applicable to 1000s of chemicals are needed - Use information can inform prediction of the magnitude and route of exposure across the chemical life cycle - In addition, EPA must also consider conditions of use when evaluating chemicals under the amended Toxic Substances Control Act
