Description:

This report discusses development of six energy resources (coal, geothermal, natural gas, oil, oil shale, and uranium) in eight western states (Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming) during the period from the present to the year 2000. Volume I describes the purpose and conduct of the study, summarizes the results of the analyses conducted during the first year, and outlines plans for the remainder of the project.
