COBIA - Phase I
Citation:
van Baten, J., M. Pons, W. Barrett, M. Hlavinka, AND M. Stijnman. COBIA - Phase I. CO-LaN Annual General Meeting, MunichG, October 05 - 06, 2016.
Impact/Purpose:
This presentation supports NRMRL’s research efforts in the Chemical Safety for Sustainability (CSS) National Research Program’s Life Cycle - Human Exposure Modeling (LC-HEM) project in the development of Rapid Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) generation. One component of the Rapid LCI task is to develop methods which facilitate the use of chemical process simulation for preparing a process specific gate-to-gate life cycle inventory (LCI) for the chemical under evaluation. Currently, life cycle inventories are not site or process specific and do not accurately represent the process under evaluation. The inventories generated in this task are then used to provide far-field (i.e. manufacturing) emissions and exposure data for use in the Human Exposure Modeling project.
