Impact/Purpose:
Dr. Fritz was invited to give a seminar to the Virginia Tech University Stream Team (5 faculty & 15 or so aquatic ecology students) in conjunction with his visit as a committee member for a Virginia Tech biology graduate student’s thesis defense.
Description:
The presentation will be an overview of research to inform jurisdictional determinations for the Clean Water Act, in particular research that hydrographic comparisons of the extent and hydrologic permanence of headwater streams, indicator development, and an evaluation of a rapid field protocol.
