Impact/Purpose:

Harmful algal blooms are receiving increased attention from the public, policy makers, and researchers. The Cyanobacteria research conducted under the Safe and Sustainable Water Research program occurs largely in task number 2.3C. This presentation, invited by EPA's OWOW, provided an outline of the computational ecology and open science research under this task. The impact of this work has the potential to impact many as the methods used are novel, and the results, publications, code, and data are to be made widely and freely available.
