NATIONAL PESTICIDE INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM (NPIRS)

Description:

The National Pesticide Information Retrieval System (NPIRS) is a collection of pesticide-related databases available through subscription to the Center for Environmental and Regulatory Information Systems, CERIS. The following is a summary of data found in the databases, data sources, methods of obtaining the data, and access methods. There are seven (7) databases and four (4) dictionaries used to assist searching. The databases are: ? Pesticide Products ? Pesticide Document Management System (PDMS) ? EPA Data Submitters List ? Tolerance Index ? EPA Chemical Fact Sheets ? Federal Register Archive (Counter Point Publishing) ? Material Safety Data Sheets (C & P Press) The dictionaries are: ? Active Ingredients (Chemicals) ? Site Names ? Pest Names ? Company Names
