GRATEFUL MED
Description:
Since the early 1970s, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) has made searching the biomedical literature faster and easier by providing online information on NLMs family of databases -- (currently 40 online databases). MEDLINE?, NLMs premier database, has over 8.5 million citations to biomedical journal articles and is searched more than eighteen thousand times a day. To make searching user-friendly and even easier, NLM, in 1986, developed the software interface, Grateful Med. Its simplicity and efficiency of searching have made it immensely popular. Grateful Med helps you formulate a search and sends it to NLMs computer with a click of a button. You can search for articles by subject, author or title. Search results are sent back to your personal computer for viewing, printing or saving. You can also order full-text copies of articles from any citations you choose via the Loansome Doc? ordering service.
