Magnetic Carbon Supported Palladium Nanoparticles: An Efficient and Sustainable Catalyst for Hydrogenation Reactions
Baig, N. AND R. Varma. Magnetic Carbon Supported Palladium Nanoparticles: An Efficient and Sustainable Catalyst for Hydrogenation Reactions. ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. ACS Publications, Washington, DC, 2(9):2155-2158, (2014).
Magnetic carbon supported Pd catalyst has been synthesized via in situ generation of nanoferrites and incorporation of carbon from renewable cellulose via calcination; the catalyst can be used for the hydrogenation of alkenes and reduction of aryl nitro compounds.
Sent for publication in American Chemical Society (ACS) journal, ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering.
