Impact/Purpose:

This work helps the EPA better understand the effectiveness of secondary disinfectants, such as copper-silver ionization, to kill waterborne pathogens in large buildings such as hospitals.

Description:

Reports results of a research project investigating the occurrence of waterborne pathogens in the water supply system of a hospital that has recently installed a copper-silver ionization system.
