To introduce EPA/ORDs Green Infrastructure research program at the AridLID Conference.

Description:

This presentation provides an overview introduction to the USEPA Office of Research and Development (ORD)'s ongoing green infrastructure (GI) research efforts for stormwater management. GI approaches that increase infiltration, evapotranspiration, and rainwater harvesting offer additional environmental, social, and economic co-benefits along with reduction of stormwater runoff. A summary of ongoing research on stormwater modeling tools and databases, adaptive management approaches for integrating green and gray infrastructure implementation, and evaluation of GI Best Management Practices will be provided.
