Resource Purpose:This information acquired via the questionnaire is used to support development of the effluent guidelines for the Iron and Steel Point Source Category (40CFR Part 420). One of the statutory decision criteria for the adoption of a best available treatment technology is economic achievability. The economic and financial data are used to assess the viability of the regulated facilities after expenditures related to pollution control.
