EPA has released the Toxicological Review of 1,4-Dioxane (with inhalation update) (External Review Draft) for public review and comment. New studies regarding the toxicity of 1,4-dioxane through the inhalation route of exposure are available that were not included in the 1,4-dioxane assessment that was posted on the IRIS database in 2010.
In March 2012, EPA announced that an independent panel of experts would meet in Morrisville, NC to discuss the draft report.[Federal Register Notice Feb 13, 2012]
