Impact/Purpose:

ETV test report

Description:

Nett Technologies’ BlueMAX 100 version A Urea-Based SCR System utilizes a zeolite catalyst coating on a cordierite honeycomb substrate for heavy-duty diesel nonroad engines for use with commercial ultra-low–sulfur diesel fuel. This environmental technology verification (ETV) report reviews the performance of this technology. ETV testing of this technology was conducted during a series of tests in August 2009 by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), under contract with the Air Pollution Control Technology Verification Center (the APCT Center). The performance verified was the percentage of emissions reduction achieved by the technology for nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM), hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) relative to the performance of the same baseline engine without the technology in place. Reductions were 65-70%, 0-30%, ~100% and 87-94%, respectively. Operating conditions were documented, and ancillary performance measurements were also made. The APCT Center quality manager has reviewed the test results and quality control data and has concluded that the data quality objectives given in the generic verification protocol and test/QA plan have been attained.
