EPA NRMRL green Infrastructure research

Citation:

BORST, M. EPA NRMRL green Infrastructure research. Presented at Southern California Stormwater Monitoring Coalition, Riverside, CA, September 01, 2009.

Impact/Purpose:

To inform the public.

Description:

Green Infrastructure is an engineering approach to wet weather flow management that uses infiltration, evapotranspiration, capture and reuse to better mimic the natural drainage processes than traditional gray systems. Green technologies supplement gray infrastructure to reduce stormwater runoff volume and peak flows in sewer systems and receiving streasm.
